Speaker FAQ’s

We often get asked questions about being a speaker at our conference, please see below the answers to some of the frequently asked questions.

We use a blind review process to ensure fair and balanced evaluation. A member of our planning team anonymizes all submissions, removing identifying information before review.

Submissions are then distributed across our planning team, where pairs of reviewers evaluate each proposal based on how well the content aligns with our conference tracks and annual theme. Reviewers score and stack-rank submissions independently before comparing notes.

This collaborative approach has served us well since 2014 and helps ensure every submission receives thoughtful consideration, regardless of the speaker’s background or experience level.

Session speakers are not compensated financially. Like many community-driven conferences, Elevate RTP relies on practitioners and leaders who generously share their knowledge with peers. Session speakers receive complimentary conference admission and the opportunity to connect with a community of forward-thinking professionals across the Triangle.

Each speaker session is for a maximum of 50 minutes. We welcome formats such as Lectures, Workshops and Case Studies.

Yes. All submitters will be notified of our decision by January 31st 2026. If your session isn’t selected, we encourage you to apply again in the future, many of our current speakers were selected on a second or third submission.

Yes! You’re welcome to submit multiple proposals. However, submitting the same session multiple times under different categories does not increase your chances of selection. It creates extra work for our planning team. Each will be reviewed independently through our blind evaluation process.

Absolutely. We value fresh perspectives and encourage emerging voices to submit alongside seasoned presenters. Our review process focuses on the quality of your content, not your speaking resume.

Absolutely. Whilst we don’t have a specific option to select this, please make sure your submission includes the necessary details and we’ll take this into consideration.

Elevate RTP prioritizes practitioner-led learning over vendor pitches. Sessions should focus on sharing knowledge, frameworks, or experiences that attendees can apply.
