The Time You’re Giving Away

You’re busy. Constantly. But at the end of the week, what did you accomplish that truly mattered to you?

We all experience waste in our daily lives: unused subscriptions, inefficient errands, overthinking, unfinished projects, skills we’re not using, time spent waiting for “someday.” Some waste is imposed on us – like traffic, bureaucracy, other people’s poor planning. But much of it we create ourselves.

In this interactive session, you’ll learn a simple framework to identify eight types of waste showing up in your own life. Through honest self-reflection, you’ll map one typical day and see where your time, energy, and resources disappear – and more importantly, which wastes you’re consciously choosing.

This isn’t about productivity hacks or optimizing every minute – in fact, let’s stop doing that too. It’s about seeing clearly so you can choose how to spend your time intentionally.

You’ll leave with a simple personal waste audit and one small experiment to reclaim what matters. Bring your honesty and curiosity. Leave with clarity about what’s really stealing your time – and what you’re going to do about it.

Learning Objectives:

  • Map the eight types of waste showing up in their daily life using the Downtime Framework
  • Distinguish between waste they create versus waste imposed on them to focus energy wisely
  • Design one small experiment to reclaim time, energy, or resources currently lost to self-created waste
